Pawsitively Purrfect!!
A Purrfect "Treasure"
I just went to the post office and got your letter along with all of the paperwork. If you are wondering how my beautiful little girl is doing, she is great! It took her awhile to adjust to the different life style outside of the shelter. There are no other cats here and we have a dog and on top of that I have four children! YIKES!! So needless to say her first few days here was a bit nerve racking so she avoided it all and found comfort in several different hiding spots. Where??? We still don't know. We had to go on what I called a "Treasure Hunt". We had many failed attempts to locate her. On her fourth day here we couldn't find her anywhere and I noticed that nobody had touched the bowl of kitty food. So I set out a can of food before bed and woke up to still a full can. I knew something was wrong and I panicked thinking that something had happened to her or somehow she got outside. I was so upset!!!! I called the vets office (that is right up the road from us) and told them that I lost my kitty and that if anyone found a cat with her description to call ASAP!! 5 days went by and nothing!!! I was heart sick!! Until...My son and I were on our way over to the neighbor's house to see if they had seen her when we heard a faint cry above our heads. I looked up in the tree and saw a soaked, cold & very hungry little girl begging me for help. Luckily my neighbor had a ladder and went up in the tree and brought her to safety. I took her in the house, dried her off with a towel, gave her some dinner and lots of love and I think this is the day she fell in love with me. Since then I am her "Guardian Angel". When anyone gets too close to her she runs to me to protect her. She is MY cat!!! Other than that she is feeling alot more comfortable about just "hanging out" with all of us. No more Treasure hunts. She's always in plain sight somewhere. She is doing just fine. She is the most beautiful cat in the world and I love her!!! Oh and I almost forgot to tell you we renamed her "London" after London Tipton, a very snotty, prissy girl on a TV show that my kids watch (Suite Life with Zac & Cody). My London is very much like her, she demands nothing but the best and I will give it to her!! It's her way or no way and that's fine with me.
Thanks, Lorraine
